As true as a sculptor can be to the printed page, Nicole Cherubini tangibly manipulates the most intangible of elements - the sound of music. Interlaced throughout the pages of her onestar press edition, Cherubini takes the creates sculptural “variations” upon the notation of “Night Song” by Paola Prestini. The flow of these sculptural pieces are interrupted by blank musical staffs upon which the viewer is seemingly invited to synthesize his or her interpretations upon the page.
