A chair designed by Sébastien de Ganay in collaboration with Lawrence Weiner.
Originally designed to bring rest to UNTITLED. art fair 2015, this chair has been commissioned by Christophe Boutin and Mélanie Scarciglia and designed by Sébastien de Ganay in collaboration with Lawrence Weiner.
The goal was to produce a lounge chair that could be produced anywhere: cut four pieces out of simple plywood on a local CNC machine - in order to make its carbon trace as low as possible - and assemble it in a minute with no screws or glue. Sébastien de Ganay and his studio designed the 4 PIECE CHAIR and Lawrence Weiner adorned it with an inimitable phrase from his ASAP series.
